Proper Edible Cannabis Dosage
Getting the correct dosage for your edible cannabis is especially important for beginners. No two people experience the effects of cannabis in the same way, and ingesting cannabis may be a very different experience than other methods of cannabis consumption. It’s important to start with small amounts of cannabis at a low dosage, and give the edibles plenty of time to metabolize in your system.
Ingest one serving orally, onset can take 60 minutes or longer. Repeat use 1-2 hours after onset or as needed.
The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission enacted a serving limit for a cannabis edible at 5 milligrams of THC. While packages of edibles can have up to 100 milligrams total, the individual product must be isolated into servings of no more than 5 milligrams. Be sure to ask your Host to determine how to identify the individual products for proper dosage.
Beginners should start with 5 milligrams of THC and adjust the dose to match your preferred experience.
